About Compassionate Care 4 Kids and Rebecca

aboutRebecca is a fully qualified social worker having completed her degree at Deakin University Geelong.

Rebecca has extensive experience working with children and young people who are diagnosed with a disability, have challenging behaviour or have experienced trauma in their lives. Rebecca has been working within the disability field for approximately 13 years (8 of which have been in special education) providing support and respite care to individuals and families. It was during this time that Rebecca recognised the need for quality respite care and support with a difference. In 2012 her private business ‘Compassionate Care 4 Kids’ was developed and began operating.

Rebecca is passionate about her work and strives to ensure children have a positive, fun and interactive respite experience. Her warm and caring nature is demonstrated in the care that she delivers adding a personal touch.

“My aim is to provide a service that is like no other. Offering a high quality service with a difference was definitely a passion of mine and I absolutely love what I do!”

Rebecca has not only opened her heart but also her home, providing respite care in her own private residence that she shares with her partner and son.

Eligibility: Children and young people aged 5-18 years diagnosed with a disability (other ages may be considered upon request).

Qualifications, Skills and Experience

Rebecca obtained her Bachelor of Social Work with Distinction at Deakin University in 2005.

While studying, she worked in the disability field providing individual and group support to people diagnosed with a disability in day program settings and supported accommodation.

Rebecca has worked for an extensive period of time with the Department of Education in a special school setting supporting children and young people and their families touched by disability.

Rebecca holds a current First Aid Certificate-Level two, Anaphylaxis Certificate, Asthma Management Certificate and Working With Children Check.
